Description
You can't start a new flying season without periodically checking your emergency parachute. Twenty years of folding and checking parachutes only allows us to confirm what all recognized equipment manufacturers and brands recommend: performing this important maintenance routine once or twice a year.
At Tandemteam, we methodically and meticulously prepare your emergency parachute in professional hands so that it's always ready to assist and manage an in-flight emergency.
The inspection of an emergency parachute covers the following scopes:
- Opening - Testing the extraction mechanics.
- Deployment of the parachute, visual inspection of the condition of its components: fabric and cords, eyelets, seams, elastic bands, inner container, extraction handle
- Ventilation and aeration in a controlled atmosphere: It is hung for 12 to 24 hours, in order to free the fabric from both moisture and remaining static electricity.
- It is verified that the parachute is completely untangled and that all the lines have a clear path from the band to the fabric.
- Folded according to the type and model of parachute.
- Pack in its respective inner container.
- If required, a folding control sheet is provided.
- OPTIONAL: Installation and mounting of the parachute on the harness or in an external ventral container. Carrying a parachute is useless if it's not properly attached. If you're interested, this service costs €12.
